The Washington Redskins 2013 Football Season

I had the opportunity out of my busy schedule to attend a Washington Redskins 2013-2014 football game. The atmosphere was live. I had along with me my soon to be 2 year old daughter and my other half. The Washington Redskins took on the Detroit Lions. It was a hard fought battle on both ends. I had a great view from my seat, we were sitting right next to the vistitor’s tunnel.  I really enjoyed the cheer routines and the halftime show. It was very neat to interact with different fans from across the country. The game was close to the end with the Lions defeating the Washington Redskins by a touchdown. I really had a great time and look forward to attending another game soon.

Downtown Raleigh Wedding: Doubletree By Hilton Hotel Raleigh-Brownstone-University

I met this beautiful couple last August. They were looking for a professional Raleigh Wedding DJ for their wedding. I was in luck because they had a wonderful wedding at the Doubletree By Hilton Hotel Raleigh-Brownstone-University. At first sight, I knew they were two love birds and were excited about the special day. The wedding day was upon us, I arrived early to set-up my equipment and sound check. When I returned to my vehicle it was a sight to see an almost flat tire. Since I was running short on time, I had to visit a local downtown Raleigh tire shop to exchange the tire. I got that all squared away and  was headed back to the DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Raleigh-Brownstone-University. The ceremony began with soft ballads while the parents entered the ceremony. The groom seemed to be getting cold feet. The beautiful bride enter the ceremony to Whitney Houston’s – I believe in you and me. When the announcement of marriage they exited to Stevie Wonder’s – Sign, Sealed, Delivered, I’m Yours. Lifted off by Jay Z, Kanye West and Beyonce  warmed up the Raleigh Wedding party as they entered the Raleigh Wedding Reception. Bring em out by T.I. had the bride and groom  show off a few dance moves. As the night went on the dance floor stayed pack. Wobble By V.I.C.  kept the party going.

It was an amazing night and the Raleigh Wedding DJ was rocking.

Sole Protecters

3m film on your sneakers? Cars and windows come to my mind, 3M is catering to the so called sneaker heads with the concept of applying film to the bottom of your soles to keep them clean. I know it is disturbing when you step in gum, tar or mud and then you have to take out your tooth brush and get to scrubbing. I recently purchased some for my sneakers from sole protectors and believe it or not it’s pretty cool to install on your sneakers minus the fact your other half gets annoyed because you beg her to use her hairdryer. I know you are wondering what is the hair dryer for? The 3M film  is heat activated so it will stay on your sneakers. I look forward to installing Sole Protectors on my new sneakers.

40th Birthday Party

I had the opportunity to celebrate a milestone a couple of weeks ago in Rolesville, NC at the Rolesville town  hall. It was a beautiful occasion filled with love. Pink and black filled the room and the cake looked delicious. She made her grand entrance into the Rolesville Town Hall  Frank Sinatra – The way you look tonight was playing softly in the background. As everyone congratulated her, I continue to set the mood for the evening with soft music. A friend from Florida handled the MC duties and was asking the attendees if they would like to come up and say a few things to the birthday guest. After a few heart warming words it was time for dinner, they had a wide variety of dishes that tasted wonderful. They cut the cake as a couple to Nelson Ned – Happy Birthday my darling. Cupid Shuffle had everyone dancing and the Rolesville Town Hall was rocking. I really enjoyed myself and I would like to thank you for having me as your DJ.

Elementary School DJ in Garner NC

Kids know how to have fun! I had a chance to be a Elementary School DJ in Garner NC at East Garner. The kids showed so much energy from the first song to the last one. I started the dance off with Party Rock Anthem and the kids went crazy. I added a little family fun into it when I played the cupid shuffle followed by the electric boogie. Macarena was also a big hit. My little daughter also came and showed off her dance moves and made friends. The theme of the Elementary School Dance in Garner NC was a masquerade ball, so by the end of the night they had a giveaway for best dress. The kids showed me the best re-indention of PSY- Gangnam Style. They took it to the next level by jumping on stage and posing for their moms and dads camera while doing the famous dance. East Garner was rocking that night. I finish the night off with V.I.C. – Wobble with the parents showing their dance moves to their kids. As a Elementary School DJ in Garner, NC we turned out the town of Garner. Thanks for having me East Garner! Photo Jun 27, 7 30 52 PM (HDR)Photo Jun 27, 7 31 09 PM (HDR)

Wedding in Louisburg, NC

A few months ago I was contacted by a wonderful bride for the opportunity to provide the music for her special event. It was a wedding in Louisburg, NC, which isn’t new territory to me.  After meeting with the couple of the day at the rehearsal, I knew that it was going to be an awesome day! On the day of the wedding, I arrived about 3 hours early to setup all of our equipment. I like to make sure that when the reception is ready to start, I am ready to go with the music. Red, Black and White was flowing through out the venue. The lovely couple danced into the venue to Drake – Started from the bottom and went right into their first dance. It was a soft ballad that brought some tears to many guest. Everyone was so amazed at the decorations and the beautiful cake. As the night went on the dance floor was packed  when I played Wobble by V.I.C. As the night went on at the wedding in Louisburg, NC, everyone was full of smiles and love. I really enjoyed the night celebrating with Mr and Mrs Baker.

Wedding at the Bonamanzee

Cabin fever? That was my first thought when I heard about a wedding at the Bonamanzee. I had the opportunity to be the disc jockey for a fun, loving couple.  At first glance this modern day venue caught my eye with the structure of  a cabin which gave off the warm presence of togetherness. This outdoor venue also had a  stage where the ” I do(s)” will echo throughout the venue. The planning committee had the decoration flourishing with blue and white. While the guest were waiting for the ceremony to start, I played soft classical instruments that set the mood for the joyous occasion.  One guest even came to my table and said ” I love this song” which told me I was playing the right thing.

Now it was time for the ceremony, the bridal party entered to Pachelbel’s – Canon in D. As they came in the groom begin to sweat and looked nervous. People started to stand so it was time for the bride to enter to Bridal March by Jonathan Cain filled the air. There were so many wet eyes in the space. The ceremony went on and the unity sand was poured to Celine Dion – The Power Of Love. The ceremony was sealed with a kiss from the bride and groom and then The Wedding March was played.

It was celebration time, the wedding party entered to “A crazy little thing called love” by Queen as the guest clapped and took pictures. It was time for the newlyweds to enter and do their first dance to “I won’t let go” by Rascal Flatts. Dinner approached and I continued to play soft instruments. Who will catch the bouquet to Single Ladies by Beyonce.  The guys represented for the garter toss to “Sexy and I know it” by LMFAO. Brandon and his Mother danced to “Mama” by Boyz II Men. Now it was time for the party to get started. Everyone danced to “Cupid Shuffle” by Cupid then it was time to “Jump around” by House of Pain. As this joyous occasion came to a close they made their exit to “Wanted” by Hunter Hayes. I really enjoyed myself. This was the kick-off of my wedding weekend. I enjoyed being a DJ in Kernersville, NC.

Founders Hall at Charles Towne Landing Wedding

I had the pleasure this past weekend to travel to South Carolina to DJ a beautiful wedding. Chris and Latowya’s Founders Hall at Charles Towne Landing wedding was so pleasant to the eye.  This was my first time Djing in Charleston and it was a great experience. The day started with the 4 hour drive to Charleston. I love to travel so it was a normal getaway for me. On the way I stopped at South of the Border and tried on a couple of sombreros.  I must say I looked good in them.

I noticed the Santee-Cooper River which made me think about taking out a pole and catching some fish. The entrance to the Founders Hall at Charles Towne Landing was like walking down a red carpet with an entrance way with nice scenic trees on both sides. I  finally made it inside Founders Hall at Charles Towne Landing and the reception room was like something  seen in a fairy tale.  Beautiful uplighting with centerpieces on every table placed so elegantly. What really caught my eye was the cake decorated in fuschia with a blinging J at the top. I played soft instrumentals to sooth the mood while everyone mingled during the cocktail hour.

Now it was time for the wedding party to enter the reception.  The ladies entered  to “Run the world” by Beyonce and the guys entered to “We fly high” by Jim Jones.  Now it was time for the bride  and groom to enter, they entered to  “Because I love you” by Lenny Williams, then they went right into the first dance which was “Happily ever after” by Case. Next it was dinner time, where I continued  to play soft ballads. Grabbed a glass and it was  time for a toast  to “Champagne life” by Neyo.  The maid of honor and the matron of honor went first, teary eyed and all they got through it. Next up was the best man he gave some great words of encouragement. The Bride and Groom thanked everyone for coming out and a special thanks to all of the vendors.  The cake was cut while they painted each others face with icing  to “Ribbon in the sky” by Stevie Wonder.  “Single Ladies” by Beyonce set off the bouquet toss, while “Give me that”  by Webbie had the guys chasing the garter. I would like to thank Chris and Latowya for having me as their DJ on such a special day. It feels like I have known them all my life.

The Martinsborough – Engagement Party

Last weekend I had the pleasure of playing music for a lovely couple at The Martinsborough in Greenville, NC.  Their engagement party was so much fun! I arrived around 6:45 p.m. to set up before the party started. The space was decorated so uniquely with flowers, scrabble board pieces, and hershey kisses! The food had been prepared and looked delicious.

Everyone started the night off with a little food and mingling.  We all took a moment out to congratulate the couple on their engagement and I dedicated a special song to them. The soon to be groom is a huge Eric Church fan. Then it was time to turn the music up. I played everything from Y.M.C.A to Wobble. Everyone ventured out to the dance floor for the Electric Slide. I had a total blast at their engagement party and can’t wait to party in Greenville, NC again. Here are a few photos that my Photographer took while we were there.
